The overall aim of the UrbanProof project is to increase the resilience of municipalities to climate change equipping them with a powerful tool for supporting better informed decision making on climate change adaptation planning.
The BINGO project aims at providing demand-driven solutions to end-users, water managers, decision and policy-makers affected by climate change, to enable them to better cope with a changing climate, especially droughts and floods. BINGO works in six research sites across Europe: Portugal, Spain, Cyprus, Germany, the Netherlands and Norway.www.projectbingo.eu
Adapt2change introduces an innovative approach to minimize water demand in agricultural sector and reduce energy demand as well as minimize agriculture pollution caused by agriculture. This innovative approach may be implemented all over EU because as it is based on shallow geothermal energy.www.adapt2change.eu
LIFE AgroClimaWater (LIFE14 CCA/GR/000389) - Promoting water efficiency and supporting the shift towards a climate resilient agriculture in Mediterranean countries
The project LIFE AgroClimaWater is designed to develop a climate change adaptation strategy for agriculture and prepare the agricultural sector for adapting to climate change by introducing water management adaptation strategies (WMAS) in selected farmers’ organisations.
oLIVE-CLIMA (LIFE 11 ENV/GR/942) - Introduction of new olive crop management practices focused on climate change mitigation and adaptation
The main aim of the project is to trial the introduction of new cultivation practices for tree crops in order to find a cost-effective means of mitigating and adapting to climate change.
LIFE CLIMATREE (LIFE14 CCM/GR/000635) - A novel approach for accounting & monitoring carbon sequestration of tree crops and their potential as carbon sink areas
The ClimaTree project aims to contribute to the development of a new methodology and provide policy-makers with an innovative tool for the quantification of carbon storage in permanent tree-crops.
LIFE+ IRRIMAN (LIFE13 ENV/ES/000539) – Implementation of efficient irrigation management for a sustainable agriculture
The main objective is to implement, demonstrate and disseminate a sustainable irrigation strategy based on deficit irrigation to promote its large scale acceptance and use in woody crops in Mediterranean agroecosystems, characterized by water scarcity, without affecting the quality standards demanded by exportation markets.
